The construction of Vienna Central Station has created one of the most modern local and long-distance transport hubs in Europe and a central hub in the trans-European rail network. As part of a joint venture, PORR was largely responsible for the realisation of the extensive construction measures of construction lot 1 and thus handled an enormous volume of work while adhering to an extremely tight schedule.

This ambitious and attractive project comprises the construction of a high-rise ensemble on the border between Bogenhausen and Steinhausen at the start of the A94 motorway on the axis to the Munich exhibition grounds. Two high-rise buildings are being built here on a site area of just under 11,000 m².

The A1 Lenzburg feeder road project solved the capacity problems at the Neuhof junction. The Neuhof tunnel is the central element of this project. Through the 362 m long tunnel and the two ramps Hero (94 m) and Horner (186 m), the traffic flows of the motorway feeder road to the A1 Bern - Zurich will pass under the Neuhof junction without crossing.

Following the completion of two modernisation works to increase flood safety in the catchment area of the Nysa Kłodzka river, PORR has been awarded another contract in this area. It is building a flood retention basin in the valley of the Goworówka stream above the village of Roztoki for the Wrocław Regional Water Management Authority (RZGW Wrocław). The World Bank is involved in financing the investment.

The Prague Marina IIa - Marina Island residential complex consists of five high-rise buildings. These were built on a common basement, which was realized as a so-called white bath, the buildings form a skeleton with perimeter and staircase monolithic walls. Due to the location by the Vltava River, due attention was also paid to the buoyancy of the groundwater in the design. In case of a higher water level, active flooding of the basement up to the ceiling height above the 2nd floor is expected. In parallel with the project, a collector was also implemented near the ship elevator, connecting to the flood protection system of Holešovice.

In 2009, Bratislava was given a completely new district between the historic centre and the banks of the Danube, the EUROVEA International Trade Center, built by PORR as part of a joint venture. The EUROVEA site covers a total area of 400 metres x 100 metres. The buildings cover a gross area of around 250,000 m² and are all equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

PORR realised a 12km-long bypass to the west of Arad. This ensures better accessibility and optimised transport connections for the city of 160,000 inhabitants.

The "Deep Tunnel Storm Water System" is a tunnel construction with a length of 10.4 km and inlet shafts up to 45 m deep. The inner diameter of the tunnel, which is excavated using two tunnel boring machines with segmental lining, is 10 metres. The tunnel will be used to channel groundwater and rainwater towards a pumping station by the sea. Once completed, around 40 percent of Dubai's urban area will be drained by the tunnel, including Dubai South, Al Maktoum International Airport, the EXPO 2020 site and neighbouring villages.

The existing Feeder 9 gas pipeline needs to be replaced. It is to be routed through a new tunnel under the mouth of the Humber in the north-east of England. 4.9 kilometres will be excavated using the hydro-shield method. Once the work has been completed, the Humber Pipeline Tunnel Joint Venture and National Grid can look forward to a world record: the longest gas pipeline laid in one piece in a tunnel.

In this joint venture, PNC was responsible for the construction of Harpe bridge, which is the first of its kind in Scandinavia. Considering the large trout spawning grounds the bridge should not have more than two pillars in the river. The choice fell on a hybrid bridge, or a so-called extradosed bridge. The bridge was built as free cantilever from each tower axis, while the side span was built on scaffolding. The bridge with four lanes is part of the E6 and 324m long.
